Book: "Early Days In Greenbush" by William Snapp page 126 has a family history on Alexander Willard.
Alexander Willard was born in Virginia, October 26, 1795. He was a son of William and Jane (Cook) Willard. Jane Cook was born in Ireland. Alexander Willard left Virginia in his younger days and went to Overton County, Tennessee; from there he moved to the state of Missouri. His next move was to Morgan County, Illinois; from there he moved to Greenbush, Illinois, in 1837. He was married in Tennessee to Lucy Liles. She was born July 7, 1796.
Mr. Willard, the subject of this sketch, was by occupation a farmer. In politics he was a democrat. In religion he and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal church for many years before their death. He died February 21, 1849.

Thanks for sending the GEDCOM file. I'm going to try and send you a co
py ofmy GEDCOM. I've not had an opportunity to verify all of the info on thi
s fileas yet. I've set up individual sheets (7 binders so far) to start
verification. I'm currently working on Illinois websites to confirm
marrige/death records. Will then go on to other states. Do you by cha
nceknow of any Missouri websites that allow an individual to verify infor? W
hatI've found so far is just addresses to request info.

rches.My infor includes material from Dean Glenn and Daryl Matthews (Texas) a
ndLarry Wilkey (Illinois). All three have indicated no problem with shari
ng ofinformation. We won't get very far if we don't want to share. I have a
cousin in Illinois who has done a lot of research. However, doesn't app
earthat she wants to share. Oh well.
Opal Coulter lives in Bowen, Illinois. (Very small town of about 550) I w
asraised in Bowen and my parents still live there. I know Opal had marri
ed PatCampbell after she and my brother divorced. She and Pat also divorced. S
hewas living with another guy in Bowen - but I'm not sure if they married
.I'll check with Mom for Opals current name and address and will pass th
isalong to you.
