They and some of their children, Andrew , Nancy Isom-Isom, James Irwin, Elizabeth Isom-Martin, Reason, Sarah Isom-King and John P, headed west to Missouri about 1860. Appear to be in Howell Co,MO abt 1861. As Civil War broke out, up to Franklin CO,MO until 1868, then moved on to Ozark Co,Missouri and homesteaded. Served their country in one Civil war and two World Wars. The majority of family stayed in Missouri but some traveled on to Californa, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Nebraska and Washington. Others stayed behind in Indiana and Tennessee. Would sure like to find them.

2. James Irwin Isoms family. Last in Franklin Co,MO 1900. Wife Mary Jane Martin. Children, James M b1868, Christopher Columbus b1870 , C L b1876, George W b1879,Jenettee Nettie b1882, Harry b1887, Jessie Maudee b1889. Appears Nettie had child, John, born Aug 1899. James died Jan 1904. Mary lived with son,George W., she died in Sullivan,MO 1910. Grandchildren with last name of Jackson with her in 1910. Looks like Christopher was in Montana about 1900 as he homesteaded on the Missouri River on now what is Fort Peck Lake.
