NEGHS Register, Jan. 1959, p. 44 "Abraham Jones was listed as a mariner in a deed given by two of his sons in 1707 when he was well over 70 years of age.This occupation was followed by all members of the JOnes family who stayed in Hull.Abraham had served as Representative to the General Court in 1689.
The land he owned in Hull was on the Hingham town line as proved by his will written in Hull 8 Jan. 1716/17.It mentions 6 sons (probably in order of age) Thomas, Abraham, Joseph, Benjamin, John and Ephriam; also my grandchildren of my daughter Linchorne (Lincoln) deceased.All bequests were to be made final only after the death of his wife, Sarah.
