On the 1870 Bartholomew Co. IN census, the children are split up.Apparently both of their parents are dead by this time.Christa Greenfield, 10, b. IN is living with Elizabeth Trigg 54 b. OH;Thomas 17 b. IN farm hand is living with Elijah Haven.
According to World Connect, a James Greenfield, b. 1921 Highland Co. OH and d. in the Civil War, was the son of Levi Greenfield and Jane Miller.Don't know if he was the right person or not.
In 3 different places, James Greenfield said he was born in Highland Co. OH.However, Levi Greenfield lived in Harrison Co. during that time so I don't know if he is the father of James or not.
