Beale moved with his family from Chester Co. PA to GA in 1777.He moved from GA to Wayne Co. IN in 1806.He entered land (314 acres) southeast of Centerville 4 Sept 1806.He was a Wayne Co. commissioner in 1818.

IN 12 June 1842.He was married near Wrightsboro, Georgia, about 1792 to Mary Stubbs (I believe her to be Mary Carter-LJ)She was b. 10 Oct 1763 and d. in IN on 7 July 1837.Both are buried at Whitewater Friends Meeting in IN.In 1794 Beale Butler was assessed as a Quaker in Warren Co. GA.In 1805 Beale Butler joined with his mother and his brothers and sisters in selling GA real estate and the following year Beale purchased 314 acres of land in Wayne Co. IN, southeast of Centerville.The removal of Beale with his mother and brothers and sisters from GA to IN followed the break-up of the Friends MM at Wrightsboro and the decision of many Quaker families to leave GA and re-settled in the middle west.The records indicate that Beale and his family were received by Friends MM at West Branch in 1809, and by Whitewater Friends MM near Richmond, Wayne Co. IN on 29 Jan 1810 having brought with htem a certificatel of removal dated in 1809 from New Garden NC MM to which Wrightsboro MM belonged.The census records for 1820 indicate Beale was a resident of Wayne Co.From 1829 to 1838 Beale Butler was an associate judge of the courts of Wayne Co.

Obit. Palladium June 18, 1842On Sunday evening, Beale Butler, for many years a resident of this county.The deceased was ever regarded as a man of unbending integrity and of great moral firmness.He was 76 years of age at the time of his decease.
