| I never knew much about my family background. My father Alvin Jewell Lovett never spoke much about his family. His father and mother were divorced while he was a young boy and his mother passed away when he was only 20-years-old. After his mother died, he joined the Army-Air Corps and traveled and lived abroad for 20 years. I came along a couple of months after his 40th birthday. By the time I had married, had children, and was ready to ask questions about my ancestry, my father had developed Alzheimer's disease. His relatives that we had been closest to, his sister, Lillian, and his aunt, Fanny, had passed away. So around 1999 or 2000, I turned to the Internet and began searching for relatives and answers. My children don't appreciate the family information that I have gathered here yet but I'm sure that they will someday because it's very important to know from whence you came.
