The Keesling Family Tree
WELCOME!We are very happy to have you visiting with us.Our family name has undergone some changes throughout time and across continents. The earliest spelling we have found is Kißling followed by Kissling, Kiesling, Kisling, and Keesling. Members of the family have maintained all of these variations and have added a few others. So, If you or a member of your family is spelled similar to this, chances are you are a relative. We have a large family with many members who have been or presently are in the process of researching our roots. We are presently trying to find a link between our ancestors in Germany and Kisslings in Switzerland. We have records dating from the early 1500s in what is today a portion of southwestern Germany. In the U.S., Our ancestors immigrated in 1749 to Philadelphia, PA and migrated to Berks Co.,PA(near Reading),then to Wythe Co., VA then from there they branched out to Preble Co., OH; Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana,Illinois, Kansas, California, and various other states too numerous to list. One of the largest groups of Keeslings(and other spellings) resides in Indiana.I am personally a native Hoosier. In Indiana, we have held family reunions since 1904 consecutively with the 93rd reunion to be held this August(1997).If you have any information on branches of this family, please send an E-mail to Tim Keesling. Please look around at this site and our Keesling Genealogy site for further information and names of family researchers.Thank You and hope to see you at our reunion! | The Keesling Family Tree Updated September 5, 2000 |
