KENTThe earliest we have proof of is Capt. Samuel John Kent.He was a Captain in the Civil War.Samuel lived in western North Carolina. His mother's name was Catherine (Shelton?) and his father is believed to be John Kent. There is reason to believe our Captain Samuel John was related to one Benoni Kent of Fairfax, Virginia.
KINGThe earliest we have on our King line is Samuel B. King, Sr.He fought in the Revolutionary War and is buried in Hendersonville, NC.
BLANKENSHIPThe earliest we have on our Blankenship roots is Benjamin W. who lived in Alexander County, NC.His son, Sidney, married a Susan J. Looper. They moved "west" and settled in Madison County, NC.
MILLEROur Miller line married into the Blankenship family. There is belief that our Cherokee lineage came from the Miller line.
