I am researching both sides of my family.
So far I have discovered my first ancestor to arrive in Australia was Silas Noyes. He was my 4 x great grandfather on my fathers side of the family.
Silas departed London 1 April 1831 as a convict on the "Georgiana".He arrived in Sydney on 27 July 1831.
I have researched the Mathers - my mothers side - back toearly 1800 in Northumberland England however am yet to disconver when the first members of the family arrived in Australia.
Any information is appreciated.I am also willing to share information I have.
