PENNSYLVANIA:Julia Ann Babit married George Obitz in Nescopec in 1835.Christian and Thomas Burrier and John George Nagle moved their families from Northampton County to Luzerne County
in the early 1800's.Magdalena Mill married another George Obitz
in Northampton County in 1809; and, their sons, John and George, moved to Luzerne County in the 1840's.John George Kleppinger was born in Germany in 1707, emigrated to America in 1737, and moved to Northampton County in the 1740's.Discovery of this ancestor led me to the Kleppinger Family Association, with members nationwide and a huge database of family history.A search of Gress ancestorsof Northampton, Monroe, and Luzerne Counties brought me to a book on Kress Family History, which traces my family back to Germany, as far back as the 1300's.Other surnames in my collection are:Ace, Best, Deets, Ebert, Feilbach, Gross, Koch, Kunkle, Lane, Myers, Nunnemacher, Schaller, Schneuer, and Shutt.
INDIANA:George W. Dillow and Thomas Dillow lived in Perry County, Indiana in the latter half of the 1800's.Thomas' second wife was George's daughter, Mary.I have reason to believe that George was Native American, but have not been able to find proof.My Hunter ancestors moved to Indianapolis from Nicholasville, Jessamine County, Kentucky in the early 1900's.
Hughbanks and Vaughn ancestors also lived in Indiana.
KENTUCKY:Jessamine County was home to my Hunter and Stipes family members in the 1800's.
