|I am researching the Miklas family who immigrated from Czechoslovakia or Hungary, in the early 1900's.My grandparents are Michael and Rose Miklas and I have been unable to find any information on either of them however, I did find Franc Miklas, Flona, and Roza, 11 months old.I remember my Uncle Frank quite well from when I was a child. One of the things I remember most about him was that he did not speak any English. |
Michael and Rose Miklas had four sons, Stephen (deceased), who is my father, and my uncles Andrew (deceased), Louis (deceased), and Harry.Stephen had five children, Mary Jane Rotriga (deceased), Stephen Richard Miklas, Sharon Lee Kuropatwa, Gerald Michael Miklas, and Judith Ann Miklas Zelkowski (deceased).Mary Jane and David Bernard Rotriga had two sons, David Bernard, Jr., and Kevin Lee.Stephen Richard and Nancy Koch had three children, Debbie, Stephen Richard, Jr., and Michael.Sharon and Donald Kuropatwa had three daughters, Denise Renee, Darla Jo, and Dawn Michelle.Gerald Michael and Joyce Gregg had three children, Jay, Cindy Ann, and Sammie.Judith Ann and Harry Zelkowski had three daughters, Stephanie Reva, Stacey, and Sabrina.
I married Donald Kuropatwa in 1966 and I am also researching his family, immigrants of Poland.I was excited when I found Joseph Kuropatwa, grandfather of Donald, while visiting the Ellis Island website and viewed the manifest of the ship on which he travelled to the United States in the early 1900's. I want to gather all this information so that I can share it with my family, especially with my grandchildren.I feel this is an important part of family and want my childrend and grandchildren to know their family in the only way that they will be able to know them.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have at this time.
