The LaCugna Family History WebsiteUpdated April 12, 2004

The focus of our website is to honor all ancestors and descendents of our allied families. When we integrate all the families of Catherine Leahy Mowry and Charles Sebastiano LaCugna, we create a true Mosaic of Life.
We are ordinary sisters, brothers, children and parents organizing families. We have been railroad engineers, itinerant preachers, forgotten paupers, exhausted farmers, founders and professors of colleges and universities, builders and leaders of early American communities and churches, aldermen, policemen, artists, laborers, modern-day technicians and engineers with even a few true scoundrels.
Over the time of three centuries many of our ancestors have been sturdy pioneers leaving the tired soils of northern and southern Europe as well as the rural American East Coast seeking a life greater than poverty. In the larger sense we have all contributed to the historic expansion and settlement of the United States and Canada.
We have been political and social activists, feminists, teachers and counselors. Many have worked in sweatshops, new communities, social organizations, churches and schools. Our men have served in each American war, others have been owners of pubs and other small businesses, several participated in the Continental Congress.
Can you guess who some of them are?Today, many of our conjoined families are known and recognized. Yet there are still members whom we have not yet met. Please help us with any information that you have about our numerous families!
The author wishes to especially thank three talented and persistent genealogists: Shirley Miller (Des Moines, Iowa),Bianca Ottone (Roma, Italia)and Ruth McMahon (Northville,Michigan) for their help with several unknown or missing relatives.
