Notes for Richard HUBBARD, Cornet:
This Richard Hubbard, according to GDMNH, is probably the Boston Richard b abt 1631; presumably the same Richard admitted as inhabitant of Dover Feb 1658/59.He received a grant in Salisbury Jan 29 1661/62,"provided he stay in the town 3 years and improve himself in his trade for the good of the town."The "1000 years of Hubbard History" divides him into two Richards, father and son, but later research implies that this is incorrect. His gravestone stands in Salisbury burying ground; died June 16 1719, aged 88 years.
The inscription on his gravestone reads:"Faith & Love Are laid in ye dust waighing for ye resorection of ye just."
