The LaMarche family I am researching is descended from Jean Bricaut-dit-Lamarche, who arrived in Quebec in 1665. Other collateral French-Canadian families I am researching are Gibeau-dit-Poitevin, Roy-dit-Audy, Rocheleau-dit-Laperche, Ethier, Vezina, and Desjardins. I am also looking for information about the Hartley, Bowman and Ostrander families of Upper Michigan by way of Canada. I have published a book about the LaMarche family (including the branch surnamed Walker) in August 1998, and 167 family members from 26 States attended a reunion during August. I have searched a number of sites of the FTM Home Pages, and would like to warn those using them that the 6-page Outline Descendant Tree for Jean Bricault-dit-LAMARCHE contains numerous errors. For example, it has me as the son of my grandfather, and consequently deceased. I assure you as of this writing, 2 April 1999, I am quite alive and well, thank you. I would appreciate any contacts for further information.I have posted an earlier FTM home page concerning the August 1998 Family reunion, which now has an incorrect e-mail address, but have not been able to edit it.
