I have been researching my family tree for a few years and have collected quite a bit of data, with help from family members, books, family records and the internet.I would like to hear from others interested in the Gesner family and will share my information.

- The Gesner School (69 KB)
This was my first school (grades 1 - 6).I remember the outhouses (1-girls; 1-boys) and there was no water - we had to carry it from a nearby farm. There was a girl's entry (left) and a boy's entry (right) and huge blackboards on the walls. The teacher's desk was on a raised platform at the front of the room - she could see the whole roomful of pupils that way.A huge wood stove stood in the middle of the room with the desks arranged in three rows around it.The younger pupils sat at the front while the Grade sixers sat in the back of the room.
