|Welcome to the Law family homepage. I hope you are enjoying your research as much as am I mine. Performing genealogical research is like a detective working on a case that can never be completly solved. There will always be questions that will go answered.|
During my research it occurred to how truly fragile and fleeting our existance here is. In just three or four generations of memories a person will cease to exist. He or she will often become just a name on paper. Lost for ever will be their personalities and life experiences. I see their names and a few facts such as birth, death, and marriage dates but lost forever are the things that made them real to someone.
My research began as a fact finding mission but I hope it has grown into something much more. I hope you will take the time to preserve something of yourself an family as well. Write biographies and autobiographies, take photographs, and pass down family heirlooms. I believe large part of what is wrong with the United States today is a lack of a sense of family. It is in the family in which children should first learn what is a healthy relationship and help them develop a sense of who they are.
