|Welcome to my family home page.My family came to America probably in the late 1600s settling somewhere in Virginia.My ancestor William Law took Elizabeth to be his wife around 1716 in Bristol Parish, Virginia.They had 7 children, and it is from their 4th child, John Law, that I descend from.Primarily my side of the family resides in Franklin County, Virginia until the mid-1800s.Just prior to the Civil War my great-great grandfather Green C. Law moves to Fayette County, Virginia (present day West Virginia).He moves back to Franklin County, Virginia after the Civil War and his son John Peter Law marries Almira Catherine Overfelt in 1880 in Franklin County, Virginia.In 1898 John Peter moves back to Fayette County, West Virginia and remains there the rest of his life.|
