|William Charles Lawson|
|My ancestry is complex; French, English, Scandanavian and German to my knowledge. I can trace back to about 1530 in France and to England to about 1750. This Home Page is my attempt to gather as much information as possible for my three daughters so they can pass it along to their children.|
On my Father's side; Henry Lawson was born in Birmingham, Warwick County, England on 1/8/1790 and left for Boston by way of Liverpool in 1830 with his daughter of his first marriage, Elizabeth. Henry has left us with a bit of a mystery. In a letter to his son Charles he leaves detailed information regarding his parents and grandparents, maternal and paternal. Unfortunately, other than dates, he left us with no names. But he did leave us with a great detective hunt! My cousin has done an extraordinary job of researching this family. He pedigreed the Lawson with the Hires Family in 1960 and he and I intend to update the tree with more information soon.
In addition to the Hires connection I also have some excellent information (trees) on the Lawson connection with the Brintons, Gibbons and Gastons of Philadelphia and Chester County, PA, particularly of Honeybrook and environs.
On my Mother's side I am descended from Renee Lereau, (changed to L'Heureux 2 generations later upon arrival in Quebec. Renee was born about 1590 and I now have over 300 names in this tree. The L'Heureux ancestry is incredibly fascinating. Through the "L'Heureux Cousins" I am learning more every day. I have nearly complete information on all the ancestors of my Grandfather, Philippe L'Heureux.Presently, I am working with Philippe's descendants to complete the descendant tree.
Included in my tree is information on the maternal ancestry of my three children.
Two of my daughters are descended on their mother's side from a William Lawson was born in Lanercost, Cumberland County, England on 12/2/1793. We believe his father was William who married Frances Bell on 2/10/1778, but we don't have specific dates and places. To our knowledge the two Lawson families are not related.
My third daughter is a descendant of the Sgrigniolis and Travaglinis on my wife's side. I have just started to research this tree and as I progress I'll post information.
