Updated March 17, 2012Tony I Little Port Angeles,WA 98362 | GREEN LITTLE, was born in Chatham County, NC abt. 1810, the son of ARCHIBALD LITTLE (died July 30, 1864) and Elizabeth Bright (died February 27 1866).Green would die on July 1st, 1863 during the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg.At the time of his death he was serving in the 2nd NC Battalion, Rhodes Division.He probably fell while engaged near McPherson's Barn at or near the Unfinished Railroad cut.He was married (by bond) to Jenima Davidson on April 29, 1840.The bond shows that he paid five hundred pounds for the privelage of marrying Ms. Davidson.His children were LOUISA LITTLE (bd 1837 and married William S. Fowler), ELIZA LITTLE (bd 1838, married 1853 Oldham Hooker), DAVID LITTLE (bd 1841 who married Hannah Maris), EMILY LITTLE (bd 1842), CAROLINE LITTLE (bd 1844 married David Turner), LUCY ANN LITTLE (bd 1847 married Lora Johnson 1875 and died 1927 in Vermilion County, Indiana), ROBERT LITTLE (bd 1848 and married 1870 to Jane Maris, he died 1917 in Verm. Co., Indiana), JOHN LITTLE (bd 1852 married abt. 1888 to Mary A. ?), CORNELIA LITTLE (bd 1854) and ELIZABETH JANE LITTLE (bd 1855 and married Mr. Ross). His siblings included ROBERT LITTLE (bd March 30, 1809 and married Elizabeth ?, he died October 22, 1894), JOHN LITTLE (bd abt. 1810 and married May 30, 1833 in Chatham County, NC Nancy Bright).Family records indicate that Green's wife, Elizabeth Bright was 1/2 Native American.
