This page represents my efforts to track the Martin line from which I am descended, and the branches of Fawver, Ball and Davis. Other surnames of interest are Burruss, Davidson, Richardson, and Canaday. These families connected in the lead and zinc mining towns of Granby, Webb City and Joplin, Missouri, in the mid 1800s and many of their descendants remain in that area.
I am particularly interested in learning more about James Martin (or it may be James Joseph Martin) who was born around 1800-1804 in North Carolina and appears to be the adventurous soul who came west to propagate his line of Martins in Missouri. Feel free to contact me if you would like to share information.
