Obituary
"Former Fennville resident died in Battle Creek
A former Fennville resident, Mrs. Anna M. Emerick, died last Wednesday evening at the age of 80 in Community Hospital, Battle Creek, following a long illness. Born Nov. 4, 1892, in Minonk, Ill., the daughter of Bronson and Mary VanDusen Crook. Mrs. Emerick had lived in the Fennville-Pearl area most of her adult life until moving to Battle Creek to live with adaughter about two years ago. Mrs. Emerick was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Harring, in 1952 and Ora Emerick, in 1968. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Goldie) Wold, Battle Creek, Mrs. James (Pearl) Johnson, Fennville, and Mrs. Geroge (Ethel) Jorgensen, Norwalk, Calif.; two sons Charles Harring, South Haven, and George Harring, Berlington, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Matthew Walkotten in the Chappell Funeral Home. Fennville, Saturday afternoon, and burial was in Fennville Cemetery."
