I'm researching Matilda Mauriello (Born in Italy, possibly in or around 1870).Her father was my 2nd Great Grandfather, Giuseppe Mauriello (b. 1840), and I believe her mother was Giuseppe's first wife. This would make her the half-sister of Modesto, Gerardo, and Eugene Mauriello.Matilda married Michael Spinelli (B. Avellino Italy, 1886). They settled in Boston and had 9 children (Louise (Chasserini), Frank, Josephine (Ottonello), Anthony, Michael, Anna, John, Peter, & Joseph). Michael Spinelli owned a construction company called M. Spinelli & Sons. which may still be active in the Boston area. I'm looking for anyone who may know anything about Matilda, specifically any siblings she may have had, who her Mother was, and even to reconnect with 3rd cousins. It is possible that Matilda had two brothers born from the same mother, Antonio, and Pasquale Mauriello. Please email [email protected] with any thoughts or info.
