"Sam married Elizabeth Klein (also spelled Klyne) who was born about 1745 also
in Holland. She died March 9, 1790 unknown location.
The children I have listed (and I know they had more) are Christina
Pettingell (unk DOB but died in 1845, She married Christian Servoss who was
born in 1761 in Glen Township, New York (Montgomery Co). C. Servoss died Feb
23, 1814 in Schoharie Creek, NY (Montgomery Co).
the other two children I have listed are Maragriet Pettingell born May 22,
1775 in Fonda, NY (Montgomery Co) and Hendrick Pettingell born Jan 14, 1777
in Fonda also."

The "First Settlers of the Patent of Schenectady 1662-1800" written by Person (J. Munsell, Albany NY, publisher) has two Kleyn families:

JOHANNES, and Maria Powell, both of Kachnawage, m. Nov. 2 1767. Ch: Johannes, bp. March 7, 1770.
