Hello. My name is Craig McDonald and I live in Morris County, New Jersey, USA. I am researching many branches of my family tree. On my father's side of the family, I am looking for any information anyone has on the family of my great-grandmother, Hanora Killen, who came from the town of Knock in County Mayo, Ireland and moved to the USA in the late 1800's. I am also looking for information on my great-grand father, John McDonald, who came from County Cork (I think) in Ireland. He also moved to the US in the late 1800's. He and Hanora Killen had three children in America: Mae McDonald-Mullins, John Eugene McDonald, and Frank McDonald. The family lived in or around the town of Montclair, New Jersey. Mae and John Eugene both married and had children. Frank remained single until his death. All three children were born in the 1890's and or the very early 1900's. On my mother's side of the family I am looking for any information of the Whiteman and Hamilton families which lived in or around the town of Newbliss in County Monaghan in Ireland. My great-grandmother's name was Josephine Whiteman-Sommer. She had four brothers - Robert, William, Samuel, and Henry - as well as a sister - Maggie. Her parents were Sarah Ann Hamilton and John Whiteman. I and specifically looking for information on John Whiteman because I have very little on him. Josephine's mother Sarah died on December 1, 1926, and her father John died on December 2, 1926 - a day apart from each other. Thank you all for taking the time to read this letter. Any information would be greatly appreciated. If you know anything about my family, please e-mail me at "[email protected]". I am willing to share any information I have. Thank you very much. Regards, Craig McDonald
