Daniel Sheffey, a lawyer of Albemarle County, VA who married Maria Hanson of Maryland and had five daughters is of particular interest. The family of Dr. Edwin Armistead Morrison of Brunswick County, Virginia is also represented.
The McDaniel line comes from Cyrus McDaniel who was married to Lucinda McCarty and is listed in the 1860 census for Jasper County, Mississippi.Cyrus's son Daniel Price McDaniel married Saffronia Elizabeth Maxey in 1888 and moved to Union Parish, Louisiana.Other Union Parish families include the Wilhite, Henry, Hight, Feazel, Honeycutt, McCrary, and Tidwell.The "Robert Richardson-Emily Katherine Hattaway" family of Ouchita Parish, Louisiana is one that has been especially difficult to trace.
