| A. B. McGinnis was born in Rock Island, Illinois of John McGinnis (McGuinness) and Hannah O'toole, both born in Ireland but married and emigrated to the US from Scotland. There three oldest children, Dennis, Mary, & Margery (?) were born in Scotland.John emigrated in about 1887.Five more children, John, Charles, Agnes, Joseph, & finally, Ambrose were born in the US.Ambrose was born on Sep't. 27, 1900, graduated from the University of Notre dame, in 1924, moved to Crown point, Indiana, in 1927 and married Violet Caroline Erickson in Waukegan, Illinois, in 1930.They parented: John (03/21/31), Sharon (06/--/34), Kathleen (07/--/37), Daniel (12/30/40), and Patrick (06/--/42).Violet Caroline Erickson mcGinnis died 12/21/73 (b.01/2-/1906).Ambrose died 12/17/93.Their son Patrick preceded them on 11/11/67, as the result of a car wreck in Gary, Indiana.Daniel is the author of this Home page. | The family of Ambrose b McGinnis of Crown Point, Indiana Updated September 5, 2000 |
