Chester Oden (son of Oden and Mamie) was born September 24, 1911 in Topeka, Kansas, and died October 25, 1966 in St. Paul, Minnesota.He married Juanita Guess on April 1928 in St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter of Clarence G. He was quite an avid sportsman and spent much of his spare time hunting and fishing. Chester, Sr., was 55 at the time of his drowning. He was prominent St. Paul restaurateur, proprietor of Road Buddy's Cafe, 799 University Avenue, and Road Buddy's No. 2, St. Louis Park. He was Captain of the Special Service unity of 25 volunteer Sheriffs of Ramsey County which he helped to organize about eight years before his death.
