This site was established by DONALD EARL McKINNEY JR, a GG Grandson of ANDREW "JACK" GAYLOR. It is dedicated to researching & identifying Jack's ancestors, descendants & any other relatives who can be located. Jack left Wyoming in 1898 with Torrey's Rough Riders as a civilian packmaster during the Spanish American War & never returned. His grown children in Wyoming and other relatives in Oklahoma never knew what happened to him. They thought he died during the war. My Great-Grandmother, Nora (Gaylor) McKinney, made every effort through the WarDept and RedCross to learn her father's fate, to no avail. He became a "family mystery". About 85 years after his "disappearance", I "found" my GG Grandfather in Yosemite, CA where he was a park ranger for the Dept of Interior. He died there in 1921.

Other than my father, grandparents, aunts/uncles & other individuals mentioned in the narrative, I am especially grateful to the following "cousins" whose records, photos, stories & oral traditions, along with my own, help us all gain a better understanding of our family heritage.
