The McKee family was started by Jeff Victor McKee, b. 10-15-1863 in GA, who married Florence A. Pate on July 4th, 1882 in Jack Co. Texas. Family oral history says Jeff came to Texas, FT. Worth area, as a child with his father, name unknown, and father's brother, possible name was George McKee. Jeff married a second time to Susan Lamb Gill in 1890 and had two children. Some of his decendants eventually moved to California from Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl era and the rest stayed in Texas and New Mexico.
The Cox Family was started by Charley A. Cox, b.abt 1858 in MO, when he married Sarah L. Foster, b. May 1867 in Athens- Clark Co. MO, on September 9, 1883 in Howell Co. MO. One of thier children, William Newton Cox, b. October 14, 1884 in Hannibal MO, married Elizabeth Irena (Rene) Carlile, b. October 10, 1884 in Hector AR, on June 25, 1908 in Russelliville AR.
Elizabeth's father was John F. (Francis) Carlile, b. 1862 in Giles Co. TN and her mother was Levicey(Levica) Maryann Lewis, b. abt 1865 in Saline Co., MO.They were married on May 02, 1883 in Conway Co., AR. Levicey(Levica) Maryann Lewis' mother was Livicy Jane (Francis) Milliken b. abt 1831 in TN and Livicy's father was John Milliken b. abt 1800 in TN.
