| I am researching the Walter McKenzie family from New Brunswick, Canada. Originally from Scotland, Walter immigrated to Prince Edward Island around 1820 and soon moved to the Chatham area of New Brunswick. His son James Thomas McKenzie married Irena Cox of Hant's Harbor, Newfoundland on May 5, 1896 at the Methodist Parsonage in Chatham. Thomas and Irena lived in town of Nordin and had two children, Walter William and Josephine Robertha "Josie". Thomas was killed in a lumber mill accident at Doyle's Mill in Douglastown on April 16, 1902.Irena then married Thomas Daughney. Irena died on August 5, 1909 at the age of 32 of child birth complications. Walter McKenzie married Angelique DeWolfe of Nova Scotia. They settled in the Lowell area of Massachusetts. Thomas Kenneth McKenzie was the first of their three children.Names of interest: McKenzie, Cox, DeWolfe.|
I am also researching my mother's family names of James and Miller. Her father was William James, born on a ship traveling to England from Ireland on May 24, 1887. He married Annie Louise Miller on May 4, 1912 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts Annie Miller was born in Hailsham, England on December 23, 1889. Her father was Charles W. Miller and her mother was Annie Smith. William and Annie had nine children with Alice Lillian being the fifth child. Alice married Thomas Kenneth McKenzie on August 19, 1942 iat St. Rita's Church in Lowell, Massachusetts.Names of interest: James, Miller, Smith, Riley, Clapson, Hollamby & Burgess.
