|Welcome to my geneology research page. This is all the information I have discovered to date, but the search continues. |
The main lines I am researching include York, Bubar, Coon, Faloon, Clark, Gonya & Jenkins. However, you can see from the name index, there are many other families listed in detail.(There are actually over 1000 individuals included)The reports contain detailed information, but reports have only been included on the main families.Feel free to contact me if you see a name included in the index that does not appear in the reports- if I have additional information I will be glad to exhange with you.
I have been more sucessful with some lines while others remain a mystery. I am especially in need of assistance with the PELKEY, JENKINS AND COON lines. Research and basic information provided by other family members indicates that the Jenkins line originates in Wales, and that somewhere along the way we are related to Richard Burton, whose given name is Jenkins. The informationI have on the Coon family leads me to New Brunswick, Canada, and possibly back to Iereland. The Pelkey family is more of a mystery. It was a very common name in the area and has been difficult to work backwards with the limited information I have.I know there must be descendants still living and hope someone will stumble onto this site and make contact.
I am in the process of extracting census data from on-line sources. The details of which will be included in the reports as I can get them updated. This information has been a GREAT resource for confirming dates and family members- in fact, I have been able to add family members I never knew about from the census records.
If you are researching ANY of the same lines please contact me- I would love to share information!I have a collection of original family photos, news articles, and obituaries as well. (I would be glad to exchange information and articles, etc.)
Much of the information I have discovered has been provided by distant relatives researching the same lines and has been quite exciting to discover. Even the smallest bits of information can provide leads to overcome the mysteries we all encounter when researching our family histories.
