Thomas Doyle, born sometime in the mid to late 1800's.Photo taken circa 1915.Thomas was father of Ellen Doyle (McLoughlin). This oldest known photo in the family tree comes to us courtesy of Mick McLoughlin of Leicestershire, England.Bernie McLoughlin of Connecticut writes."That is an incredible picture.I have the original in a 22"x26" in our Library right by this computer. My late mother told me that she acquired it in 1946 when she married my father. The picture was in Thomas Doyle's daughter's house in New Haven. This daughter was I believe the oldest and of course our grand mother was the youngest. I believe this daughter was married to a Geenty and settled in New Haven. My mother said that Thomas Doyle's daughter brought this picture back from Ireland early in the 20th century. Our grandmother Ellen also had a sister in New Haven (Connecticut) named Mariah Tighe. She lived 5 houses from us when I was growing up and I remember her turning 90 in the summer of 1961.She died later that year.Mariah had four children, all now deceased. There are only two grandchildren from that line: John Ford who is a retired IBM executive living in Trumbull, Ct and Jim Tighe a retired federal agent for Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco living in Katy, Texas.
