|ARRIVAL IN AMERICA: Michael & Teofila arrived on the "Victoria" at the port of New York City on March 15, 1891. The small family (with an infant daughter) had left their home in Osetno, Russia, to travel via Bremen, Germany, for the voyage to America.After their arrival, they settled in the Mt. Pleasant area of West Pennsylvania.Like many other Polish immigrants, the men worked in the coal industry.There they raised a family of eight children.Years later they relocated to Detroit, Michigan where most of the family still resides.|
