John Barr (Old Man Barr) left Glasgow Scotland around the 1870's after his wife died, leaving behind three young sons.While in New York State he had another son, John.Old Man Barr lived in NYC and the Bronx and at one point owned a saloon as well as a "health farm" outside of the city.
