|It has been a few months now since I started my quest for my family tree.I have come from fewer than 200 names to over 1000 names. Many thanks go to my living relatives who I am still trying to find as I learn about them.|
I guess the most exciting events have been talking to relatives I barely remember.I spoke by phone with my cousin, John Venske, who I only remember from our trip to Illinois when I was a child. An addition thrill was finding Howard G. (Skip) Black, Jr., a cousin I did not know I had.He still lives in the area of the world where my Great Grandfather comes from.I hope I can help him trace our tree back to Ireland and Scotland.
To everyone who has helped me get this far, I want to give you a heartfelt thanks. To all those to come, I promise to give as good as I get. ;D
The surnames I am researching at the present start with these names:Black, Bradbury, Bunnell,Fleck, Hunter, Nichols, Rouille, Russ, Siders, and Steele. There are many others but I have not listed them as of yet.If you take a look at my reports and internet tree you will see them all.
Areas of the U.S. are California, Kansas, Illinois, and Maine with Canada, Ireland, and France soon to be explored.
