"Sonny" Rayma B. Rutland Jr., 62, of Cherokee, died Saturday, July 22, 2006.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2006, at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. John Malone will officiate.
Mr. Rutland is survived by his mother, Bea Rutland; daughter, Sonya Rutland Haynes and husband, Jim; wife, Sydney Ramsey Rutland; grandchildren, Jonathon, Hunter and Sydney Ruth Haynes, and Brittney Lard and husband, Alan; great-granddaughter, Brieann Lard; and faithful companion, Gus; brother, David Rutland and wife, Debbie; sister, Maebeth Worsham and husband, Keith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rayma R. Rutland Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colbert County Animal Shelter or the charity of one's choice.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Cherokee, is directing.
