The Berri, Birks, Mulkins, Upthgrove Connection:Information about Charles Henwood
Charles Henwood (b. 1854, d. 1912)
Notes for Charles Henwood:
May have died from the flu.
Charles's parents died when he was a young boy. This may have been
around 1912-1913 since Charles was 16 and in the British Army in 1913.
7/13/03 I found Charles Henwood on a Person Result List of the 1901
English Census.
Charles would have
been only 25 years old so this could have been his father.
7/13/03 I found a Charles Wesley Henwood who died in 1933 in Golden,
British Columbia. He would have been about age 17 at the time of Charles
Ernest's birth. Could this be the father or cousin?
3/13/04 I found both Charles Henwood and Mary Ann Munday in the England
and Wales Civil Registration Index of 1837-1983 married in 1896 in
Hartley Wintney, Hampshire County, England.
4/25/05UK Census 1871 Hampshire, Harley Wintney Dist 2: I found a Henry
Henwood age 44, Carpenter b: Hantz, Basmiskoke, England with wife Sarah
44, born same place, Henry 19, Carpenter b: same place and Charles 17
born 1854, Blacksmith born Surry Farnham, Ellen F. 12 born Morli Lowsen,
rubin and George 10 born Harto, Hartley Row, and Fanny 8 born same
place. I think this could be Charles' family, but he was said to have
been an orphan at 16 and had joined the army.
