!SOURCE: Nos Ancestres 3 page 98Francoise, Sister Sainte-Anne, born about 1659, became an Ursuline novice at 19, on 7 February 1678.She had trouble, it seems, in leaving the "pine grove" of her paternal home. She became the first Ursuline at Trois-Rivieres in 1697 and the second to die of a milignant fever, on 9 March 1699, when she was 40.The historian writes "Although small of body and slightly delicate, her great courage brought her to accomplish all."And Mother Superior Drouet wrote upon her death. :If the voice of the people is the voice of God, there was, upon the death of this dear sister, a very striking revelation of her beatitude; the whole town regarded her as a saint."
