|A search of my ancestors has led me to the Pfalz region in southwestern Germany, where in 1798, Georg Ginkel and his wife Philippina (geb. Jung) rejoiced in (I hope) the birth of their son Daniel.|
Daniel remained in Nerzweiler, the village in which he was born, throughout the 65 years of his life. He took Maria Elisabetha Schneider from nearby Horschbach as his wife after their union was legalized in Hundheim am Glan. Barely 34, Maria died, but not before giving birth to my Great-great------grandfather, Heinrich in October 1823.
Information about the Ginkel Family, even farther into the distant past or perhaps now in America would be most welcome.
