|For the past 15 years my sister (Jean Dugan) and I have worked on 2 Family Trees. My maiden name was TRACEY.I am the daughter of John Jay (JT) Tracey & Agnes (WYSOCKI)VISUTSKIE.The latter spelling came in around 1940's.My father worked most of his life on the CPR Railroad and was called JT and Jay.He was also called DICK TRACEY.My mother's family was polish and we have traced roots back to Zwangshoff Poland and Prussia. Her Grandfather's name was Trzebinski/Trebinskie.My mother's grandparents arrived in Canada in 1883 on the Steam Ship Buenos Ayrean leaving from the port of Hamburg and arrived in Quebec. Canada.|
I have also been working on my husband's family tree and they came from Botragy Bereg Megye Magyarorszag, Hungary. His Grandfather Joseph arrived in Canada in 1902 in Saskatchewan and he then moved to Lethbridge, Alta and then homesteaded to Milk River Alberta. His wife BORCSA SAKACS arrived in Canada in 1904 with her daughter and sons.My husband John's father is Charles and his wife is Anna MORICZ.
Any help you can shed on my husband's family would be most appreciated.I have come to a block and can go no further so I am hoping there is someone out there who can assist. Our relatives (Husband) are mostly located in Alberta, BC and California.
I will be submitting all of my family research over the next couple of days to Family Tree Maker and I have a lot of info on these three families back to the early 1800's.
I am most happy to be part of the FAMILY TREE MAKER's FAMILY.
