Welcome to the Padfield Family Tree.
The tree lists Padfields whose origins in the main were from a triangular shaped region of Somerset between Kilmersdon, Frome & Leigh up-on Mendip.
There are several lines of Padfields that no doubt share a common ancestry but, as yet a link has not been established.
The content is generated from many sources. Wherever possible it has been verified against information held in various registers and census.
The tree can be viewed on the site as a banner (pdf. file). I can also send it to you by e-mail (as a pdf. file) or by post as a hard copy wall sized banner print-out and any part there of that may be of particular interest to you.
Your contributions and input, however insignificant it may seem to you, is very important to me & the continued development of this tree. I would be delighted to share and receive any pictures, anecdotes, new information and corrections. I can be contacted by post, telephone or e-mail. (Anecdotes are not kept on the site but form valuable archive)
I cannot emphasise enough that inevitably the tree may contain errors and should therefore be treated with some caution.
Thank you again to those that have generously contributed in the production of this tree some of whom I have listed below. As ever to begin to know where we came from is to begin to know who we are and each time we remember those that have left before us then they are not forgotton.
'We may do well to study our forbears with charity, and if possible understanding' F S London 1808-1870
