More About Ann Hardister:
Fact 2: Maybe more children.
My information is that Ann Hardister had a sister, Jane Hardister, and a brother, Henry Hardister, who also lived in Gibson Co., TN in the 1830's at or about the time that Ann Hardister married William Goodman. I understand that their father was Samuel Hardister, a son of Thomas Hardister (ca.1737-1841) of Randolph Co., N.C.
My great-great-grandfather was Robert Elisha Hardister who married Mary Jane Smith in 1839 in McLemoresville, Carroll Co., TN. This was very close to the community where the Goodmans lived in Gibson Co., TN. I suspect, but cannot prove, that he was related to Ann, Jane, Henry, et. al. Would you have any information regarding correspondence, business dealings, or any connections between them? I think it is more than coincidence that Robert Elisha Hardister's youngest daughter was named 'Louisa'.
I understand that Henry has numerous known descendants now living, especially in Arkansas. Would you have any information regarding Jane's descendants? I understand that she married a Mr. Edward Hailey/Haley in the 1830's in Gibson County, TN, but I can find no trace of them afterward.
