Often Elise must be ill, for Otto Moebes, her brother, writes at May 26, 1901 to her:
Your sickly constitution has made me deeply sad.....It is amazing how you always have beat through the many different illnesses....I hope, now, it will become better with your health and you will enjoy a pleasant age.
John Gregory (Jack) Moebes born Apr. 10, 1911, living in Amerika reports that Elise has educated the son of her brother Ernst. He carries on to repart, that Otto invites her to come to Amerika to live there, but she was afraid to do so.
It seems to be that Elise got mad in the age for she died in a mad-house in Dessau.
Otto Moebes writes at May 28, 1902, to Richard Borgmann:
....You write to me sometimes aunt Elise is rather odd and often she was a hard burden for your mother....Upon my word, Richard, I asked her hearty for comming to me in dozens of letters after dear father's death and it shouldn't cost for her absolutely no penny, we would carry her on our hands....
But no!She couldn't leave her darling Ernst!
