Reported absent on detached service atGoldsboro in January-February , 1864. Died in hospital in Richmond, Virginia,April 26, 1864, of “pneumonia”

Mustered in asPrivate. Promoted to Corporal prior to September 1, 1862. Hospitalized atRichmond, Virginia, October 31, 1862, with typhoid fever. Transferred tohospital at Farmville, Virginia, December 20, 1862. Reduced to ranks on January1, 1863. Returned to duty on January 29, 1863. Captured at Gettysburg,Pennsylvania, July 2-5 , 1863. Confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, on or aboutJuly 10, 1863. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, October 20, 1863. Diedat Point Lookout on December 22, 1863, of disease.

Wounded and captured at Hanover, Pennsylvania, June 30-July 1,1863 andreturned to company July-August 1863 as he appears as absent detailed to buy ahorse on the muster roll for that period. Admitted to hospital at Richmond,Virginia, May 22, 1864 with a gunshot wound. Present or accounted for throughSeptember 1864.
