JOSEPH K. PHILLIPSUpdated January 26, 2003
JOSEPH K. PHILLIPS was born August 08, 1843/44 or found in a cabbage patch in Macon, Bibb Co, Georgia. In 1861 at age 17 he lied about his age and enlisted with some or all of his brothers in the CSA Army. He was wounded, captured and paroled near the end of the war. Family lore has it that he never saw his brothers after that.He migrated to Franklin, Williamson Co.Tennessee after the war where he met and married MARRY ELIZABETH FELTS March 29, 1868. They migrated to Mississippi and on to Washburn Arkansas where they are burried. Josephs War, Pension, or death records reveal nothing about his heritage except that either his father or grandfather was from Ireland. Here in SW Florida there are no genealogy research facilities except the Internet and World Family Tree.If you have read this far you can see that this Ol'boy needs help!!!
