Notes for Alma Piche:
Our Father came to Dundurn, Saskatchewan with his father from the province of Quebec and took up residence on a homestead on Section 20, Township 33, Range 5, Meridian 3.This was on October 5, 1905. In 1906 they broke ten acres. In 1907 they broke another ten acres, also another ten acres in 1908. In 1906 they built a shack measuring 14 x 16 and valued at $50.00. Later the invested in more land by buying and renting.
Later, in 1965, May dad went back to Quebec to marry, then came back to Dundurn with his bride to make their home.We three children were all born there.In 1927 he sold out and came to live in the Albertville district on land bough from Albert J. Provencher. This land was located North-East quarter section 9, township 51, range 24, west of the 2nd meridian.
Anna, the eldest daughter married Joseph Nogue and went to live in the McCord area of Saskatchewan. Jeannette, second daughter married Marc Piche. They lived in Albertville all their lives.Maurice, the only son, married Marie-Colombe Gaudet.They lived on father’s farm until 1958 when they moved to Albertville village and continued farming.
Our mother passed away October 27, 1944 at the age of 60 years.Our father passed away March 9, 1964 at the age of 77 years.
