Joseph Thomas was born in Disraeli, Quebec on October 2, 1898. He was the son of France and Octavie (nee Dubois) of Gravelbourg. Lea was the daughter of Napoleon Beaudoin and Lea (nee Lessard) of Albertville. They were united in marriage in Albertville on February 8, 1926. A son Joseph was born and died at birth in 1927.
Joseph was a mechanic who helped the people of Albertville and surrounding area. He was a painter, a barber, carpenter, electrician, a handy man at all these trades. He loved music and his collection of records were of Hank Snow, "The little man with the big voice" Joseph would always say. He had a green thumb when it came to gardening and the flower beds in his yard were of eye-popping beauty.
Lea was a devoted lady to the church. She collected yearly for the "Benediction Des Terres Saintes" and she also was a Lady of Ste. Anne all her life. The cancer in her could not be beaten and she passed away in Saskatoon on March 9, 1958.
A few years after his wife's death Joseph remarried. His second wife was Mrs. Emilienne Piche. They had a wonderful life together - Fishing, visiting, holidaying around. Joseph died of cancer on December 31, 1975 at 77 years of age and has been greatly missed.
