The surnames I'm researching are Hack of Warren county, KY.,Presley of Athens, TN.,Taylor of Laurel and Clay county KY.,and Plockot/ smilowicz of Poland to Brooklyn, N,Y. Philip Hack married Susanna Hurtsman Jan. 06, 1783 in Burlington county, N.J. then moved into VA. to Warren co. KY. I'm from George Hack born 1802? His son Wm. Henry was born in Fountain county Indianna. Then they moved into Kansas. and Oklahoma Wm. Henry Hack, Jr is buried in Seminole, OK. Wm. Henry Sr. is buried at Glenco, Payne, Ok. unmarked grave. My Taylor are Jacob Isaac Taylor and Rhoda Smith . They had 21 children and I'm from their son Henry grant speedwell "speed" born July 23,1836 in Clay co. KY. He came to Newton county AR.in the 1880's. He was a Baptist preacher in KY. and AR., Speed married Eleanor Yadon oct.29, 1855. On Len's website he has posted a "Narrative" of "speed" that my aunt Phyllis gave him. It's an interesting piece.On the Cobb/Sasser site there is a story that Glen Perry tells why Rhoda and Isaac separated after 21 children. My Tunnell/Tonnelier family are from France. The name means barrel maker. They was Protestants(Huguenots) and had to fled france in 1702. All of Wm.Tunnell and Lady Ann Howard sons were ministers.Lady Ann lived to be 104 years old. My line is Wm.and Lady ann Howard>Wm. and Mary Maysey>Calvin and Jane Adair>Daniel and Polly Witt>Wm.calvin and Cleora Crane> Mary Ellen and wm.Henry Hack. Wm.Calvin and Cleora are buried in sapula, Ok. at South heights cemetery 1815 S. Ridgeway. Calvin was a Baptist minister. Left Tn. 1817 and went to Greene county, Illinois. He Was a member of the 9th general assembly 1844-1846. Probate judge for four years. Veteran of 1812 war. They arrived April 15,1660 on the ship De Bonte Koe(the spotted cow). It has been supposed that many religious refugees from Spain during the Inguisition settled in Harwyen,Gelderland,Holland. The language of its people are interspersed with Spanish words and idioms. My line is Albert Heyman Roosa and Wyntie DeJonge their daughter Neeltje and Henry Pawling. My Presley are from athens, Tn. James Wm. My great grandfather came to seminole, Ok in 1909 by train.They had 7 children born in Tn. and Two more born in seminole, Ok. He married Mary Ann "annie" Burton May 1889. James had a sister Leeta Moreland living in wewoka, Ok. James is the grandson of George presley and Debra Jones. George was born in Buncombe county,NC. My husband families are from Poland. Ignatius Smilowicz enter the States Nov. 1913 from Wloclawek, Poland. He served in the Russian Army March 1910-march 1913. He had a brother John and about 10 sisters. some being Helena, Walerka, Kazia,and Jozia. Their mother was Michalina Tomaszewski.We find letters written to Ignatius and Frances from 1935-1947. Some of the names that are kin to Frances was Palczewski,Elwertska(i)Wojtycki,Jakubowska(i).Helena married name was Nawakowski,Kazia had sons Henri and Stasiu, also Helena son was born in 1928. I'm still trying to find these family. They all stayed in Poland. I am still searching for informaton on mikolaj (Mike) Plochotnicki.I know he was married oct.20,1912 to Anna Austro in Brooklyn New York. The name was changed to Plockot in 1942. Would like to hear from any one that can speak Polish. The name Mikolaj said it was Nicholas on a web site, but he used the name mike.There's no families left in Poland bearing the name Plochotnicki, by a guy that runs a polish web site.
