|Yvonne Josephine D'Aquisto-Postma|
|I am researching the D'ACQUISTO family. |
LORENZO D'ACQUISTO came to Brooklyn, New York in 1884 (1920 census) from Palermo, Sicily. His wife, FRANCESCA PAOLA ALAMIA, joined him three years later.Their last name eventually changed to D'AQUISTO (no "c").
Lorenzo had some siblings who came to America around the same time but continued on to California. This side of the family became involved with the tuna business and opened some restaurants. They continued to go by the original spelling of D'ACQUISTO.The siblings did not stay in contact with one another.I am very interested in this side of the family, although I cannot provide much information.
