| I am new to genealogy so if anyone has any good pointers for me, they would be greatly appreciated.The side I'm having the most trouble with so far is my dad's side.And of course that is the one that interests me the most.His parents, Evaline Buller (Ramsay) and William Bell Armit, were both born in Scotland.My grandfather was born in Kilconquhar, Fife and my grandmother in Dundee, Angus.Some other names on this side are Bell, Kinnear and Ramsay.I also believe that Buller and Aspell are two possibilities also.William's father was Andrew Armit.According to William's birth certificate, Andrew was a salmon fisherman.William's mother was Elizabeth Aspell Bell.Andrew and Elizabeth were married November 1888 in Edinburgh.Evaline's parents wereEdmond Ramsay and Elizabeth Kinnear.
